1) Using phylacteries is a good thing in situations like that, as you noted.

2) Actually, you should have started vampiric touching the Centurions... the bard had slept them, so the other wouldn't even assist. They're lower level, so you'd probably be getting back a ***DEV worth of HP every two rounds, which would be enough to keep you alive until they were dead.

3) blind them both, have your zombies rescue, and then teleport
