Ok, true believers, I've come to jot down a couple hints on how to make your caballed character(s) seem more together/with-it/hip/far-out/right-on/solid/etc.

One big ass thing that comes to mind is LOG IN. This nearly always promotes your character and refreshes his or her image impressed upon the minds of friend and foe alike. Granted, realworld constraints will keep you from logging in often, but starting four new characters is not the best excuse why you haven't been playing. Sheesh, if that happened, you'd probably see some dwarven mage of all people still around. *snicker*

Secondly, DON'T LOG OUT BEFORE YOU'VE BEEN AROUND FOR AWHILE. This is one of my biggest pet peeves. Evil ernie empire logs on, nobody to group with, everyone will be out to get him and oh poo, no codex... Ernie logs off or goes linkdead (99% of the time there's no excuse). This scenario is often seen with Sister sadie sylvan, Rowdy roger rager, Mister Mcallister master, etc. If you want to give the Imms and/or leader(s) any reason to boot your character, make sure and emulate this scenario consistently.

And finally, for this "Emily" Post, CABAL-HOPPING IS A BIG ASS NO-NO. This includes, among other things, logging on an applicant when you see the leader/imm vis with your -OTHER- character, switching to your character of the dominant sides cabal after seeing what the odds were with another character, and saying things about my mother. If you'd like to give the Imms any reason at all to question your adherance to the rules, please, hop away.

These hints are for new players as well as, and perhaps more importantly, the "veterans" among us. Can you do what you want? Sho 'nuff. Can you expect to get quest rewards, leadership positions, and big chocolate bunnies? Prol'ly not.
