As a side thought, just because you play a character with say.. sylvan ideals.. doesnt' mean you won't get into Troupe. I had a character sphere seasons that easily could have gotten into troupe. The same goes for any general cabal, although I don't see someone with a mind of an empire getting into Troupe, nor a Scarab. You'd have to be an awesome, and I do mean awesome rp'er to do that. For the most part, Troupe is Any 'Good', true neutral, and chaotic neutral. Tharena the 'long-winded', as I've heard her once called.
