Alright, not all of this might be correct since the specs have been changed up a bit i think to even things out since they orignally were implemented. Anyways, here is my view on a few things.

Sword: Flurry i believe is a little str and dex based, i think flourintine is somewhat dependant upon dex. Riposte i believe also has something to do with dex.

Staff/spear: Felars make good staff/spear wielders because defensive spin is dex based and with 23 dex they spin pretty well. Also dual wielding claws is nice advantage.

Axe: This i believe is pretty self explanatory. Axes are heavy. You want someone with a nice str to wield to big axes and beat the hell out of anything that moves...or not.

Mace: Again you might want nice str so you can dual wield 2 pretty big maces. Drum i think has something to do with str. I really can't back this up at all but cranial might have a little to do with size.

Polearm: Distance used to be majorly based on str (for those of you who remember Sonia *wink*) but it was changed some. I think it still depends on str some just not as much.

As for whip/flail, hand to hand, and daggers, i really don't know any relationships between stats and those specs. Hope this is pretty close to correct and helps some.

P.S. No flames welcome. Constructive criticism welcome.
