The main reason why I'm beginning to really like playing an Imperial is because you don't have to be in bed with the immortals to get a position of power. If you really want to become a sect leader or even the Empire than chances are you probably can. In the other cabals however(and there are those that are really bad about it) you have to be an immortals girlfriend, wife, friend, ICQ partner or whatever. That, is what makes me sick. So, I play Imperials now. As far as the changes go, the most apparent is probably the DEMAND that citizens give the oath after they kill somebody. If that oath is refused than that person can die again, however, the way I understand it is if you fail to give the oath and an immortal sees it you'll probably be anathema. Second, Myria was recently made anathema because she aided somebody out of sect without reason, so I figure if it's seen, you'll be anathema. Tarrin was made anathema because he attacked a bloodoath, used to be before you'd get off with a firm tongue lashing, at least if you could come up with a decent excuse. So, the changes are there, they just can't be enforced 24/7. As far as Masters and Arbiters goes, if the morons keep attacking the centurions they'll probably find themselves in a heap of trouble, especially when the Empire is like HUGE right now.
