Save vs spell can make you nearly immune to APs and shamans. (A save of -40 or more is good) It will work pretty well against necros, but they have that annoying thing called spellcraft. You can resist pretty well with good save, but if a necro tries to sleep you 8 times(flee;sleep;flee;sleep...*bullshit*) he will get an annoying +10 levels to one of his sleeps(add this to the fact that he has a few ranks on you,being a no bonus class) and you will NOT resist it, even with absurd save. However, if the necro is able to get this many tries off you are doing something wrong. What's the point? Get alot of save vs spell. Don't let him get the first attack. And if he looks prepared (charmies and protections) fight him another time.
