As I always stated, this has got nothing to do with roleplaying, just namecalling. It doesn't really matter IN WHAT WORDS do you ask to group, it's who you ask, and how you behave afterwards.
Of course, your character can have his own way of speaking (although most people stick to broken old english), but this is NOT COMPULSORY.
IMHO, it doesn't matter if you say "group" or "journeying together in pursuit of learning and personal advancement while hunting monsters", only the latter is long enough for the character you are addressing to gather a group and gain a few levels while you are still typing it.
The second most stupid thing about CF in last few years is changing "level" into "rank", the only difference being "tnl" changed into "tnr". (Although the positive thing is that "rank" is shorter and therefore faster to type)
