When you pick a sphere it does not mean that you have to follow the religion of the God that oversees that sphere. If you don't want to follow a god, you don't have to. If you're still not comfortable with picking a sphere that has a god over it(I don't see what the problem is), then pick a sphere that doesn't. Anger, Sloth, Gluttony are some examples of godless spheres.

Basically, anybody that doesn't have a tattoo and doesn't want a tattoo, is an atheist(if you want to nitpick).
