> The village is in a depressing state when an act of honor by a rager actually startles you. I witnessed a rager fight they way ragers should (IMHO) and I was flabberghasted. This "We throw out our honor in times of war and run around in the largest groups possible crap" really puts a dampener on the entire rager philosophy I believe. They should either A) Get a grip and fight one way (ie with honor and courage) no matter what the circumstance or situation or B) Throw out that philosophy and way of living/fighting and admit that they are a bunch or honorless scum. One or the other peoples. Going back to this anonymous rager at the start of this post, you know who you are, I hope you get rewarded for actually giving a shit about ragers and what they mean.
Well Battle ragers kick ass :)

I think the ideology is fine the way it is.
Of course, there s always draw backs.
I ALWAYs die in so call honorable combat.

This is my first battle rager character.
Since I always hated battle ragers, i decide to find out what the @#$^_^&! ragers stand for.
I must say to be a good rager is not easy.
what i mean by being a good rager is
follow the rules (philisophy), perform your duties, taking orders from your elders.
Staying in a fight you know you can t win, because other villagers depend on you.
Dying in a fight so others may prevail.
etc.. etc...

Personally, i hate dying.
But, since i am an rager, i expected to die.
Unfortunately, i am dying alot more than i want.
But it s great, so i am not complaining.

The honor part is VERY important.
A berserker rager can take out a whole group (non caballed) his/her skills are very good.
Masters and Empire a bit harder but still possible. (for obovious reasons)

If battle was like Empire, raping people left and right by means of dishonorable combat.
Anti Sentiments toward Battle would reach an all time high.
Battles would kill everyone. That s why honorable fights are so important.

As for during war time. The honor part is thrown out for obvious reasons that i wonder why you don t comprehend.
for example when i was rank 25. a bunch of young people from rank 20 to 25 or so tried to raid the Empire to take back the head.
Iliyith was there a few others.
we got our butts kicked soooo bad.

Why? Hiroj the healer was there, transmuters were there.
The centurions were annonying, the vanquisher was gushing, Iliyith and his merc and friens were picking us left and right.
when we regroup to go back to raid, the hero healer heals the vanqisher back to full health.
In a raid honorable combat does not hold for that reason.

In a raid, Empire comes with everything. I mean everything. Otherwise they are hiding like cowards.
If you try to fight honorably, you will die.

Alot is on the line during a raid.
If you don t go as a group, the raid will fail.
This is very important when trying to get the other cabal's item.
Please do undertand.
If you seen the log where i got raped.
You would understand, why the philosophy is thrown out.
Besides.. when so many people are raidng, it s confusing to keep track of things.

here s an illustration
Battle: Sierothe stop attacking Gharik, he s mine, you are dishonorable.
Battle: Gelkof nah.. i got him first
Battle: Kalageadon BAH! you dishonorable scum, he s mine.
Battle: Kitratik I need some help over here, three Empires are killing me.
Battle: Thror Kitratik fight you own fights honorably!!!
Battle: Nesam hm.. *stares at Kitratik's corpse in dismay '

get my point?
sorry to use your names :p

hehe
