I suppose Istendil was a trash character because of his heavenly connection? Now, I am completely out of the loop as far as out-of-game info (No ICQ, IRC, etc.), but my limited experience tells me that the imms are -very- good at playing interesting characters, and keeping them separate from their imm selves. They know that they will be watched more carefully than other morts for cheating. They have nothing to gain from playing a mort except interaction with the other good players.

Sacer invented the lich. My guess is that he wanted to play one, on the real CF, to get an idea of how they played, and have some fun with something that he spent a great deal of time on. No crime there.

Who would you rather deal with? Isty, Golmagus, or some of the fools who have somehow made it to hero? I play this game for the interaction. IMM-morts tends to be the best characters to interact -with-. Therefore, I'm fine with it. If I was fighting Golmagus and got smited just before victory, well, that wouldn't be fun. But that sort of thing simply doesn't happen. They are under a microscope from the heavens, and they play by the rules.

I'd ask you the same thing I would ask Chris Warren: What have -you- ever contributed to CF?

I think we all know the answer, and it's not impressive. Golmagus had more character in one bony finger than your sorry list of PK-happy fools did collectively. Save your envy for those who care.
