I am one who strongly believes that you will at some point see an empowered class in battle. I don't ever think it will be a common thing (like dwarf shamans in sylvan)*cough* and I know that the mortal leader will never induct one(unless directly instructed by an imm). HOWEVER! some day BoltThrower, Holtzendorff or maybe even Nimbus might decide that a role has been developed enough to induct the empowered class. This would also have to cause a change to the Tablet. Right now the tablet says: Empowered by the gods, priests are to be tolerated. However, their powers should not be embraced anywhere other than the shrine of your deity. Priests are only empowered by the gods, they are not gods themselves. So it would not make a whole lot of sense for a rager to accept a healer, shaman, or druid with the tablet written as it is. As for a paladin: Lawfuls are not allowed in battle.
