He did better than I could have, at the time, with what he had available to him. > 2. There were plenty of warrior Knights with FD (Lachdanan, Challen), none of whom were half so fearsome as Ihlrath. Unless you feel Lachdanan and Challen were less than chimps? :P Given that I *was* Challen, no comment. :P > 3. Surely you think it's a little bit of stretching to lay all of Ihlrath's deadliness All? No. A *large* amount? Yes. I think you underestimate the advantage afforded by being able to haste oneself AND slow one's foe. An arial sword spec, hasted, can beat basically any slowed fighting class, regardless of gear, even naked except for dragonswords. I could win FDs as Challen, naked except for two dragonswords, and that's without haste/slow. With, it'd have been a joke. > 4. I doubt, from watching Ihlrath kill many, many times, that more than half his kills came from FD. Granted, if you wish. I wasn't looking over his shoulder. > 5. It was a long time ago, but didn't the Imms make it so that the weapons didn't heal during a FD? Except against Ragers and Masters, yes. > 6. Call me crazy, but based on what you just said versus what actually happened so far as Ihlrath and his pking, I'd say you have some sort of bias against him. Well, I saw him do a number of things that basically took away all my respect for Ihlrath as a character. It became evident that the purpose of the character was to rack up PKWins, and not to contribute to Thera. Three off the top of my head: 1) Taking something like 4 con off a naked Iomahk in two hours, running into the warrior's bar and FDing him every time he unghosted. 2) After force dueling Woru while wanted, and losing, coming back and force dueling him while he was grouped with me and about to enter Hell. That's pure OOC revenge. 3) Stunning Arolin, having Amergin dispel, slow, soften, and hold him, and then force duelling him. Uhh... sure, that's honorable.
