It's really as simple as this.
I used to love Sylvan because of the calmness of it. It meshed nicely with what I as a real person saw nature as being. Sitting next to a stream just relaxing to the trickle. Laying on a grassy hill reading a book while the birds sang. Really poetic and colorful things like that. I had a sylvan or two in each of the four stages I outlined above, and I only enjoyed the odd numbered ones.
Under the druid before Pikel, I'm terrible with names, and then under Pikel I always felt like the odd man out. It's like in highschool when you refrain from going to the kegger up at Lookout Point and they laugh at you for being different. It was never as blunt as that in Sylvan, but the feeling was always there. If I didn't get together with these people and engage in the bloodshed then I had no reason for being there. Somebody would ask me if I wanted to go after suchandsuch and I'd say no and they say "Oh, why not?" and I'd say "Cause I'm not like that" and they'd say "Oh" and then leave.
