Since my playing times coincided nearly exactly with Zorszaul's, I rarely saw them *wry*.
So I left them a note. They both got extremely pissed and went to the battle imms with complaints. Since the only thing I heard after that was Thror telling me I should have spoken to them directly (see above comment), I can only assume that they were told to prove me wrong. I know that Gelkof was trying to drum up anti-Takashimi support, but had very little luck. The challenge was issued by Thror that if anyone wanted to take over, they had to slay Zorszaul, or otherwise prove Takashimi unfit.
Gelkof later deleted and Kobaine con-died after 'purifying himself' (Sac'd all his eq and 'started over'). My issues with Kobaine I explained on the graveyard when he died (http://carrion.gameshadow.com/graveyard/graveview.pl?Kobaine)
