Its true, I did feel helpless. It is also true that I blamed myself afterwards. I had chased Nirgal up there (who was convulsing), and was hoping to blind a few of them and redirect on Nirgal to finish him. I figured that if worst came to worst, Minalcar was there and could loot my corpse, and I put more faith in spellbaning halt than I should have.
