Angels don't give sanctuary.

Angels do not attack all evils. Angels only attack some evils. You are one of them. Maybe it's a clever prog that only attacks people who are prone to foolish whining. Or maybe it's something else.

Angels show up on where. All servitors do. If you are taken by surprise, you have yourself to blame.

Unprepared pre-archon conjurers cannot take damage. Summon/trip more than likely would have resulted in a dead conjurer.
