Howdy,
I'm not sure of the exact point of this log. Did you actually attack a paladin then calm it to get the ring? Why couldn't you just request it in the first place. (If the answer to this gives away information about the area please ignore this.)
If you actually attacked a paladin to get the ring, reguardless if you calmed them to avoid their death, I would agree with the Immortal here.
As far as why would a Healer wish to kill? Are you kidding me? I can easily see the role of a good healer to heal goodness and slay evil. Obviously they choose the proffesion of healer over shaman so you would assume they had stronger tendencies to heal rather then hunt but that would not mean they are a disapointment if they wish to kill some great evil demon.
And as far as that goes, why couldn't you play a healer who chooses to hunt and slay evil? One combat tactic is to cause lots of damage to your opponent quickly (shaman-like) But another stratagy would be to protect and heal yourself in order to eventually wear your opponent down. (A healer type stratagy)
I don't like the sterio type I think the immortal is pushing here. That healers need to be pacifists. (Now on the other hand Chaldaie is a Dawn member (I think right?) But the immortal specifically was refering to the fact that Chaldaie was a healer.
Now as far as Chaldaie's roleplay, the couple of times I have interacted with Chaldaie I was impressed by their roleplaying (the person behind the character, you know what I mean.). (Usually it was bailing my newbies out of some sort of trouble, but none the less well done and in character.)
If a healer has healing equipment then they can save their mana to either heal themselves in addition (To be able to fight even more powerful enemies, or use it for some other purpose, ex. healing their allies. A healer gets just as much use from a healing item then a warrior does. I'ts just that healing is a healers game, dealing damage is a warriors game. If a healer chooses to use healing equipment over damage causeing equipment they are just choosing a more extreme stratagy.
