Just my opinion, but in that other situation, might have been better if you'd moved a few places away (perhaps just north of the East Gate of Midgaard) and summoned your buddy (for word (which wouldn't have worked cause he was cursed)/or cancel sleep/ or attack him to wake him) or summoned the necromancer (for fast one round damage supps). If you're going to go in and save him, you should probably consider saving him and not going for blind two times first. Those ghouls coulda froze you before you could word him and you, but still, I'd consider summoning one of them away before running into a necro with a full compliment to attack. Anyway, it wasn't asked for, but just trying to help.
