Well a couple of reasons
First of all I was rushing to them
second of all I didnt see a healer there and wasnt expecting him to be sanced.
Thirdly it is quiet easy to flee as a mage when your group assassin is throwing the attacker.
Had the assassin be hit again and died, or just not have been sanced. He would have died. The assisting muter casting spells would have died right after him.
Unfortunatly I relied to heavily on spellbane, and even with a fair amount of saves, the spells still got through.
It is why the title was bad luck.
came'ed healer, sanc. snow bear. spells of soften and slow both getting through.
someone sitting on writhing for 4 rounds or so.
