Okay, first, I am from Russia. I thought everyone is know it allready.
I am not christianin, nor believe in Buddha or Krishna. Nor Zeus or such. I may believe in another materials plane and enlightening, and maybe some God-like beings, but this is not what about we speaking. I know pretty much of religions, different religions - sometime ago I was gathering information for myself.
Yes, I understand, shamans, even lightwalkers, may be angry, mercyless and even bloodthirsty, but violent...?
As I understand, 'violentness' is a part of the 'evilness', and truly lightwalker (don't forget, we talking not about just mortals, but about heros - every character in CF is more, than just a mortal). This mean, that lightwalkers is allready enlightened, or on a way to enlighten.
May enlightened person contain 'violentness'?
I think no.
About that maran shaman, I didn't try to say 'look, what a moron, he is maran but calling demons!' - no, I was speaking of whole CF system. Old helpfile? Yes, but principe of this commune still same - Shaman not just showing 'Hell' to the person (if so, much evils will just laugh at him, thy seen much more allready). No, he calling a demons to strike his foe.
May shaman do it? Ofcourse, every shaman may contact with spirits, and demons is a spirits by nature (I think so). But WILL a maran ask a dark spirits for aid? I doubt. And remember, Shaman did physical damage to his foe - unlike spell 'fear' of necromancers, which is just making foe flee in panic. How? As I undestand, shaman summoning spirits (demons) to the material plane for a time (from the hell, I believe?), and they doing physical damage to the enemy. Ofcourse, there may be another mechanics (if so, I would like to hear your theory). But principe still same - shaman using 'dark' powers, and no matter, against whom.
IMHO, ofcourse - I never said I am 100% right (this is to all that flamers, who like to whine with/without reason).
And to those, who could read all this - I know, tonns or grammar errors, but - if you hate to read it... don't read. You are free.
