This spell (let's say commune) sends a evil demon tormentor to strike damage against your foe.
Depending on the casters alignment versus the alignment of the target, the
demons may turn back on the caster (communer).
You narrow your eyes and glare in Arvaxus's direction.
> Your words strike the fear of Hell into Arvaxus!
> Your torments *** DEMOLISHES *** Arvaxus!
> Arvaxus is writhing in agony.
You know, this is almost question of 'was inquisitors good or bad?'.
In my answer before, I was peaking of physical and mental damage. I have no doubts - fear do damage, bot not on *this* physical level.
Another question, will lightwalker use torments?
And to show fear of the hell, he somehow show demons to the target - so, he open portal to the hell, or summoning a demons to this plane? It's like a lighwalker, who is using emonaitions of pain as a source of power/mana (as did some inquisitors - and this is basis of necromancy (in rl)).
You may agree, you may disagree - but I would like to hear your reasons.
