1) Calessin was a conjurer, not an invoker. Big difference.

2) No, he has no control over the archon. It's like the healer at the pit, except a whole lot cooler.

3) You can have all of the elemental invoker shields up, but only one of the "bash protection" shields up (winds, elec, earth). He got the elemental shields (Bash protect shield are self-only) from an allied mage.
