> Why didnt you group up?
Because you dont know everything. You didn't know, for instance, that the tell on the cb was "altrael is in the druid grove and he's very hurt." Nobody there (Erueaiq or Asihara) realized that he was able to poultice and bandage himself andwas just about at full health once the hawk got there. Next, Altrael was dusting, being camo doesn't help, it's not like he was running away. There was no time to group up for the first set of fighting.
He is a rager, all of you go chamo but the armadillo. I say again, he is a rager...if he thinks there is one and only one mage, 9 times out of 10 he will go for it. This is where the mage who was a hawk should NOT be a hawk, he comes in, the moment he starts on the armadillo, hold/halt his ass.
Uh, what? What do you mean, not be a hawk? That's how he gets there. And seeing as how the armadillo was ostensibly taking the blows, why not try to hit him with a hasted hawk? Sure, once it didnt hit him, changing is fine, but then, of course, he was tiger clawed.
There was a good 14 rounds of combat where he fought the dillo solo where asi and grux could have done something.
Uh no. The hawk was at convulsing and was simply resting up, if you notice. (He's sleeping when Altrael comes to him later, remember?) Even with the armadillo fighting, the assassin kicks were mangling the hawk.
And even if the hawk were *not* tigerclawed, you really think the halt person spell was going to go through spellbane? And then not be saved against? Enough to make a difference? Please.
And remember, the armadillo was marked, so it's not like the three of them could go hide and group up. Altrael would simply come to the dillo and dust. Exactly like he did.
Sure, they could have retreated to an entirely different area, grouped up, got shields, etc. But, yes, well, Altrael would be long gone and hidden, defeating the purpose of the "quick" action they tried.

Gee, there's a real reasonable statement. Let's try to stay away from these idiotic superlatives, shall we?
