The fact that you did this for ANYONE shows that you should have been anethed.

Perhaps it was this, and some other things that prompted the imm to look into a reason to aneth you. In that situation, aiding a non-oathed-non-empirial-non-evil-goodie-two-shoes-ELF in your past with only a vague promise of some minor reward as incentive is a valid excuse for anethemization.
