I would imagine she didn't like being killed over footwear.
Plus, if you've had any dealings with the character you'd realize that that flame was close to character. The language was harsh, true, but she's a trifle slutty--a little free-spirit with a loose mouth.
When I've pk'ed in the past and been blasted for it, I take it in stride. I certainly never start getting all "hey come on, man, geez, it's just a game, gosh, that was mean."

I would imagine if I was walking down the halls at work and someone jumped out of the john and brutally murdered AND COULD STILL COMMUNICATE WITH MY KILLER I'd probably say something similar.
Just some thoughts.
