Aristaiea is not bloodthirst. One is not aggro to anything just for invoking the tattoo, so summoning the dark man does nothing unless the person with the tattoo happens to use an area spell -- which a paladin or shaman or warrior (which is what we've been discussing, svy, ara and dhaevor) are unlikely or unable to do.

I think you need to be a good player to *get* the tattoo. To use it, well, that doesn't take quite so much "kickassedness".

Thorisin, empire fire shaman, also had the tattoo.

It also gives more. The berserk as well as the invokable aristataie and of course the sweet yells. And one or two other things that have not as yet been made public so I certainly wont reveal them. As for Shok's, I dont know what other abilities/powers the tattoo grants besides phoenix fire.

Actually, his list was comprised mostly of saying you *can't* be part of the cabals. All but one or two, really.

It has the drawback that if you get the tattoo, you *sacrifice* being in arbiter or empire (obviously) or rager or master, etc. Whereas anyone can wear bolt's tattoo and be in any cabal.
