I can see your point; punish Paladin A for his insults, but I think its not always so cut and dry. Have to take into consideration the intent of an action as well as the results of that action, ie if someone innocently pushes a button labelled "Make the World a Better Place" that kills ten billion people, do we punish him for the results of their action even though their intentions were honorable? Similarly, I think a balance of forgiving vs. punishment for wrongdoings is needed. I can see paladins and shamans leaning more toward the punishment and healers more for forgiving and teaching. At the same time, I don't think paladins should run around killing everyone that looks at them funny, thats just not "goodly". But ultimately, I think the best is a combination of:

intentions of an action vs. results of an action, and
forgiveness for wrongdoings vs. punishment for wrongdoings

All these thoughts are my humble opinion, of course.

Any other thoughts out there?
