In the past, Masters were required by their head Immortal (Twist) to hunt nature lovers because the Magic sphere opposes Nature in the pantheon. With him gone I'm not sure what the mortal master stance is. However, one of their cabal powers destroys the wilderness so, yes, any Master is a defiler from a Sylvan perspective.
