...the paladin was very likely a much lower rank than the necromancer. However, regardless of that fact, there are a few things that may have happened where we couldn't see.
For example, Necromaster may or may not have used wands/had sanctuary from an Imperial healer/had invoker shields/had haste/etc. Ditto for the paladin, of course.
However, as a neo-paladin myself, I can tell you that my strategy for fighting has changed drastically from what it was beforehand. Would someone I was fighting notice this? Probably not in the form of visible things such as new supplications or skills because, right now, I'm much better at communing wrath than I am at any of the skills I've learned. Beyond which, Sometime Player had a good point in that wrath has 1round lag, vs that of the new skills being 2, or even 3 round lags.
In addition... it works. Like a transmuter using "halt person" over and over, or a necromancer using sleep... it's an effective tactic, and it works. Had this Paladin been a smarter combatant, he could have won (or at least chased off Necromaster) with it.
Personally, I'm happy that nobody is posting any logs that have the new paladin abilities in them, yet.
