Saying that nobody told you that ponchos were special, and that to you it's a skill to be used, is a cop-out. By it's very name (trophy?) you should be able to guess that this isn't the sort of thing you use on any corpse that you happen across. It should be used on a corpse that you yourself made, and that you are proud of. Best example I can think of is Takashimi's poncho of Oroxazrian (master lich). There's just nothing to be more proud of than a lich AND a master (except maybe a poncho of Zorszaul. I'd ask an imm to have that preserved forever somewhere :P). Your poncho of an elven wanderer isn't a bad poncho, as that mob isn't easy (as you said) for a level 21 to kill. But in the future, I'd suggest making ponchos of mage mobs, or of people you've pked, or really ass-necked deathful mobs.
