The Pinnacle of the Tower
The spiral staircase opens up to a large room inside the large spire of the
Tower itself. The ceiling of the chamber rises high above you, sloping up
into a point far above you. Somehow, the very fabric of reality here seems
to resonate with magical power. The marble walls seem to glow vibrantly, and
hum a nearly inaudible song. In the center of the room, a large dais raises
up off the floor. Resting upon the dais is the central focus for the magical
power within the room, within the Tower itself: a large altar. Behind you,
the spiral staircase descends back down towards the ground.

(Humming) On the ground lies a shortsword with a very sharp edge.
( 2) (Glowing) A brooch with the seal of the gnomes in rubies and emeralds lies here.
(Glowing) A small ruby on a chain is lying here.
A large donation pit has been hollowed out in front of the altar.
(Magical) (Humming) A large amethyst altar carved in the shape of a violet spider rests here.
The Archmage of the Five Magics stands here, putting her magic to the test.

Twin pillars of solid reddish-white marble rise to either side of a large
archway which stands majestically before you. From each side of the
pillars, a thick curtain wall of the same color marble extends, seemingly
as far as the eye can see. The archway seems as if it would be the logical
place for a gate to be placed, however, none is evident.. or visible, at
first glance. Beyond the archway, a small courtyard leads to an imposing
Tower formed of the same marble as the walls and pillars. The Tower rises
several stories above the courtyard, to a walkway that encircles its
circumference, just below a large needlelike black spire.
At the base of the gates, a small plaque has been set into the marble.
