A normal person being an unprepared mage, you mean? The mistakes were all made on the assassin's part, except for the fact that the transmuter was slowed. A nearly naked, uncaballed mage could have won this fight if he was prepared correctly... Remember that transform really isn't all that great when it comes down to it. Masters are far from overpowered.

The pugil wasn't the wisest thing to do, but the tiger claw was. Would you rather have a slowing/scourging transmuter that could form at will anyway against you that could word once the battle wasn't going his way, or would you rather just try your luck against a form, knowing that you *could* get away (with vanish) while he couldn't (as easily)? Wow, what a run-on sentence. :P

Yes another mistake... You really should have gone for the strangle first. A blind transmuter would probably end up trying to run, but if he were tiger clawed, you shouldn't have too much trouble chasing him down. Even if it wasn't going your way, again, you could have gotten away much more easily. There are a few other tricks and tactics that you could have used to beat this muter easily, but I'm assuming that you either already know them, or will figure them out by yourself in time.
