I thought it was beautiful. I can just imagine an entropy immortal rping, sitting back in a big chair and toying with one of their barons. The character very obviously blew his "test" when he whined too much. In fact, if the character had gotten mad, quit out for a bit, not posted this log on the forum for us all to read, and come back with a more "hard-to-get" and "I'm cool and chaotic with or without your stinking powers" attitude he probably still would have been inducted.

Well, atleast that's my take.

Disclaimer: I am not an entropy immortal and no nothing about the situation. Also, I don't know the baron in question from a hole in the ground.
