There's going to be a them throughout this whole post, and that is this: Druids can't see camo. Here, why not start with creeping up to him, putting up thorns (if you're sylvan, and have the sapling, and waylaying?

Perfect bearcharge. Period. Sheesh.

Oh man...why are you visible? Camo! Druid's can't see camo. (see the theme?)

> Taraly leaves.

This should have been you creeping, while camoed, not him seeing you leave.

Argh! He can still see you!
"Druids can't see camo."

I could see running after him and bearcharging if he had fled at gushing, or something, but he fled at small but disgusting, and didn't quaff a return or anything. Surely that means he's getting more prepared? Camo, creep, waylay, THEN try a bearcharge. (Druids can't see camo)

Relax a bit when pking someone. You're a ranger, in the forest, and your foe can't see camo. You shouldn't die, so take your time and don't spam in commands.

Very good strategy change. He can refresh himself, but that takes time, and if you get him low enough on moves, he's a sitting duck.
Even if he can flee, he won't get a long ways before he has to refresh, quaff, or something.

Heh, your strategy was so good that Thalen tried to copy it. I like that.

Oh, very nice. Setting up a snare along his escape route was a truly good idea. He was dead, here. But...

This comes back to what I was saying about relaxing. Snares last quite a while. You don't have to hurry and attack. You were obviously juiced and had the adrenaline gushing, and spamming directions and bearcharging (why, I don't know, you'd been doing well with the entangles). If you arrive, camo, and waylay/ambush, he's dead here. No way should your ambush do less than 258 hp of damage, even with resistance to metals. Druids can't see camo.

Right here is where it becomes evident that you were spamming bearcharge rather than thinking coolly.

Ouch. Even more evidence.

On a side note...from earlier in the log (though I snipped it from this version):

"A forest giant stops following you."

Thalen, you had two mobs, the giant and a treant. I don't think you should really be spouting about how unprepared you were. The only preparation I saw you do was to put up your armor o' thorns, and, while bearcharge could have (should have) been the death of you, you were able to flee after two rounds of combat and put that up. So before you two make this more of a pissing match than you already have, you both made mistakes and you both could have killed the other much easier.

Here's what really boggles my mind. Taraly, why the fuck are you in Aridhol, instead of camped healing up hp, or camoed and waiting to waylay? If you were chasing Thalen down, I could understand, but if you ran to aridhol to "hide", you didn't need to. Say it with me everyone: "Druids can't see camo.">

<297hp 151m 320mv> com sun taraly
> Taraly yells 'Help someone is attacking me!'

Actually, reading this line makes me think Thalen left out the real reason you were in Aridhol. He must have hit you with a sunray at some point and left it out, and it must have blinded you? If that's the case, to get to this point in aridhol, you had to either have quaffed (a reasonable thing to do) or run there (not sure why you'd do that). Either way, it sheds a bit of light on why you were there (no pun intended).

At first, I was like "why is he serpentstriking when he's almost dead?" but then I realized you're still blind, so you don't have much else to do, right?

Whether intentional or not, going indoors against a sunray-spamming druid was pretty smart. (Or lucky).

> Taraly's bearcharge MUTILATES you!

Big risk you took, here, Taraly, to "check his carapace"...if he had it up, you were dead right there. It paid off (sorta) but wow, risky.

> Oh and for the best reply yet *mutter*

> Taraly tells you 'Ya arent half as tough as ya want people ta think, and I know dat now'

Talking tough after you just died to a guy you started the fight with is pretty silly.

> Riiight....a druid on a waning moon with no preparation...and you still die. BAH!

No preparation bullshit. The only prep you were missing was a carapace. Really, for how much prep you had, Taraly STILL should have killed you, but for you to say no preparation is garbage.

> **not ment to be rude, but come on, that was pretty bad you said that**

Your comment was pretty bad too. Further, I could point out mistakes you made, but then, you won, so you'd probably blow them off.

Hopefully Taraly found this helpful, I tried not to flame but each mistake made me cringe. I started out really ready to blast Taraly for being in Aridhol, but after re-reading the log, it looks like he was sorta S.O.L. about that.

One last time, though:

Druids can't see camo.
