Background:
I have put a few hours onto my only char...a newbie at the moment, and am resting in a town somewhere waiting so I can go to bed...
When this human warrior, three ranks above me, comes up to me and bashes me. He doesnt hit me, but I hit him...so I go back after initially fleeing, well...without any skills other than dirt...he finally beat me down...so I descide to inquire as to what precipitated his attack....

At this point I made a quick decision to laugh instead of get pissed...This person obviously has no idea what the word rp is...
I am still laughing....On another night I might have tried to reason with him, to try to get at least SOME roleplay out of him...but I realized, that following his statements, I myself would be HARD pressed to stay in character. I think it would have been beyond my abilities....
So I have a serious question to all you rp-elite out there...
How do you handle this? How do you stay in char when someone talks like this?
Or do you even try? Do you log off until you stop laughing your ass off like I did to try to salvage your character's role....?
