It's not like Nepenthe hunts down random newbies and calls down thunder. It's not really his style. The reason Sladin absorbs a lot of verbal beatdown is because he brags, and taunts people who -do- know what they are doing.

Umguy's right. It's not that Sladin was a bad character for a new player. It's that the player -thinks- he was amazing, when the hefty dose of reality provided by Nepenthe would indicate otherwise.

Just to aggravate Graatch, I'll say: Do a Forum Search. Sladin is pretty consistent in letting his mouth write checks that his brain can't cash.

My advice to Sladin:
1) Get a new name. The IP really doesn't matter.
2) Stop asking for it.
