For the record: I was that dipshit that said using rot was badbadbad mojo (I was posting as Khiravn). So I was wrong. I had images of fighting Xzortok in mind where he'd just spam "com rot (victim)" and word once it landed. At the time I thought it was rather pathetic, and that using rot for that purpose was rather pathetic, but now, I don't care and I realize I was wrong.
Regarding your fight with Malaglen:
There is one reason why you weren't able to commune word. And I can think of two effects that I know you didn't have going (based on that log) that would have allowed you to.
Regarding overpowerd skills/abilities:
The best example I can think of is Desanguina. That guy scared me when I was playing Akivasha (also a human necro like Desanguina). It sucks to fight a guy that could care less whether he dies and only needs a first attack to land a PWK in, a guy that will come at you naked over and over in the hopes of landing that spell (My first encounter with him was dying to a PWK when he had levels on me). My solution was:
Don't let him cast the spell on me.
It's not like I am some little helpless, hapless lamb that lies victim to some big bad overpowered combo. I have overpowered combos, myself. I have the ability to word or teleport and choose my battles, as well. If I die to his combo, then the fault lies entirely with me for being dumb enough to die to it. Hence, I'm pretty sure I came out on top over Desanguina in all our altercations after that, and that attitude is one I've always had: that if I die, it's my own damned stupidity, if he got away, it's my own damned stupidity, and if he died, it's his own damned stupidity.
Anyway, that is the one thing I remember from your posts: that you seem (to me) to pass off certain things as "sure deaths" that poor you can not do anything about. Which is a shame because in some of your logs you showed some skills (from my humble viewpoint) and if you got over that bump, you'd probably be pretty deadly as a PKer. In other words, if every class in the game has "cheap kills" (your words) then there really aren't any cheap kills in the game, are there? Everyone is pretty much on the same playing field.
