Hey now, you'll note I said it reminded me a little of the TotC, which it does. . .the very vague idea that what is beneficial for one person to do, if done by everyone, essentially benefits no one.
No argument that the Prisoner's Dilemma is a much more accurate reflection of the idea, though. For some reason I assumed the TotC was a more widely-known idea than the PD. . .probably because I picked up the TotC in a social sciences context and the PD in a computer science context.
