Disclaimer: I don't claim to be elite. In fact, I don't like most of the people who claim to be "elites" (note: they're also weak because of their egos) - Nepenthe and Arcane are two obvious exceptions - across the board, they're among the best, and alot of fun. "Elite," or rather, someone who would call himself "elite," to me, symbolizes people that mostly play evil aligns and bully good align newbies that are still running around in verbose mode. They abuse certain tricks. So, I figure if you are one of those people that think wall/swarm, or any combination for that matter, is totally unfair, and Nepenthe's suggestions did not help, here are mine, somewhat rehashed from previous posts. This is all obvious to most people, but if you follow it, you'll live.

1. Check your range. Any Sylvan that will kick the shit out of you in a wall in your present state (protections/gear/back up/et al)?
1a. If no, roam and hunt around for them.
1b. If yes, begin gathering resources and proceed to 2.
2. Before entering a wilderness area, always make sure the Sylvan is visible. If at any point the Sylvan is not visible, always assume s/he is camo'd at the nearest, worst possible spot. This means, if you have the resources to take on the Sylvan at the nearest, worst possible spot, proceed. If you do not have the resources (protections/gear/groupmembers/et al) to take on the Sylvan at the worst possible spot, avoid the wilderness until the Sylvan is visible again.
3. You've roamed around and gathered resources. Do you have the resources necessary to survive the Sylvan you noticed in 1? If yes, proceed to 1a. If no, proceed to 1b.
4. This part kind of sucks, but it's necessary: Leave off the heavy roleplaying (hanging around in Cabal HQ for example) until your range is locked up and there are no more threats.

That's it, if you follow this, most confrontations should be advantageous to you (keep in mind he's doing the same thing -paranoia).

Random Notes: Turn on brief mode. Paranoia is a must when someone that can kick the shit out of you is in your PK. The best way to live is to make a situation where you can kill the person that can kick the shit out of you in yourPK ("Make the situation" means choosing the environment for conflict (escape route planned/perhaps a way to trap him planned/et al), gathering necessary resources (player back up/gear/protections/et al, etc.)). Until you make that situation possible, don't go near them.

Anyway, sorry if this is an useless post, but just trying to explain why I don't see anything as being overpowered or insurmountable.
