Hmm... even if the archon is slowed? I guess it depends on which beast. The wolf, seen most often due to being called in the Grove or dwarf, isn't all that great. Some of the others could probably hold their own against a slowed archon, but when I had a Sylvan I didn't use beast call much, so I dunno... I was always worried that I was unfairly endangering the animal's life.

It'd probably take too long, I think. As Dhaevor I was able to outright beat transplendants most of the time (sometimes they'd get a bunch of lucky hits) and it took me an average of 3 ticks to kill them. They've got good reduction and are quite healthy. I know you hit like a truck, but I think a thirsting Rager with a 110ish damroll who's spamming flurry wins out in terms of raw damage potential.
More plainly: not likely to kill it before the snare wears off.

Inventory space was always a big problem for me. I used a boiled leather most of the time, with a flawless silver for charisma. Nothing else... I'd have probably whipped out the staff of wonders, I think.

Yup... when I saw the healing curse message on the two cures associated with the slow, I knew you were in serious trouble. As far as I know, other than that, there's no way to know when your archon has healing cursed someone. If not for that, I probably wouldn't have pressed the fight past the ranger.
One question... how close was I at the end? Counting up the damage, I was sure you'd have been died if I'd type "c mag kamal" instead of "flee" as my last command at the bear.
