If you're living by a Code that says do not associate with evil in any way and live an ascetic life, then do it. It's not that hard. Paladins are supposed to be kept to a higher standard. And instead of doing penance (though I honestly don't know how they're handling unempowered paladins -- once you're out you may be out for good) you're coming here and complaining? It looked like the immortal in the log told you what you did wrong. How often you play, how big your role is, how charming you are at parties - none of that matters at that point.

> I think what you're witnessing here is Old Testament judgment, which is often hard to reconcile. When the Ark of the Covenant was carried by the Israelites they were commanded by God not to touch it (they carried it on poles) nor to look within it, or they would die. At one point they're marching along and an ox that is carrying it stumbles, a dude named Uzzah (I think) reaches up to keep it from falling. Sure enough, he was smited and fell to the ground...DEAD!!! I doubt Paladins are being monitored that strictly, but it might be wise to pretend they are just to keep your nose clean.
