First of all... wearing a piece of Evil clothing to remind you of the Evil in the world? Come on man. You're just trying to talk your way out of something, that's all. Don't admit it to us on the forum, admit it to yourself... you were wrong and violated the code! Plain and simple. You come here, whine, we reply and suddenly we're all wrong... How so? I assure you, if the Immortals were really assholes like you're trying to make them out to be, and if there was a VIC (as Proud Blade so eloquently put it) this MUD would not have the amount of players on it that it does. Correction, the amount of EMPOWERED players on it that it does. This MUD is very well monitored, very well maintained. Your attempts to stagger someone's belief in that will only work on newbies that pray something to the effect of "What is with this fucking lag?" repeatedly and then get denied. They'll say the Immortals are assholes, but really, who is the asshole?
More importantly, maybe the Immortal was looking for YOU to roleplay your way out of that situation. Maybe you could have went the route of being the unorthodox Paladin that stretches the Code a bit. (Unfortunately for you, though, you really did stretch it too far.) The problem is, you got called out on it.
Good luck with this and future characters, I hope you think out the role more and put everything into it. Look, make your role 50 pages like you say you can.. if the Immortal doesn't read it, that's their problem. But, if you are doing something you can refer them to a part of your role in some eloquent manner. Could they argue with you because of their own disinterest in reading your role?
Ah, this turned into a rant. Why even try to help, you don't want it, you just want to whine and have people agree with you. So here goes.
Ya know, man, you're right! Screw these Immortals! They're all out to get us! And they read our roles and look for something we do that's not in them, write a note and say "Ahha! We got you now!" and then fuck over our character! I'm with you all the way man!
