First off, Kealiran had the right idea-
notice the progression of the fight when
he wasn't attacking Kimidan. Granted, the
archon took several chunks out of his hide,
but then again, it IS a transplendant one.

Second, the elemental was never killed off,
which would have helped things at least a
little. Fighting a conjurer successfully
goes one of three ways in my mind:

1. Make it a progressive battle, taking care
of his/her servitors and either killing them
(elementals, angels, demons) or keeping them
busy (usually the best tanker should do this)

2. Hit them with massive enough amounts of
damage that even protections and the healing
can't save them. Works best when they only
have a luminous or maybe even blazing archon,
or when a certain gap between the holiness
of the archon and the conjurer is created.
NOTE: incapacitating a conjurer (sleep, black-
jacking, strangle, etc.) really doesn't help
you. A necromancer can be summoned from his
minions, but servitors have minds and perform
their duties with abandon. Focus on when the
conjurer's protections go down, etc., when
he doesn't have a white aura anymore, or simply
keep him busy and tantalized enough that he
will overextend himself.

3. Catch the fucker with his pants down.

Secondly, Kimidan, you're a moron. Ragers
are certainly powerful, but this was not an
example of that. Nightgaunts are, nor should
they be, all-powerful creatures. Just as
everything else, they have their vulnerabilities,
and people have wised up on how not to get
completely nailed by them. (-see Air Majors)
(-see Oringo)

A well-played duel would have gone more like
this: Kealiran, wielding swords, drives the
archon away. Ikemasuka entwines, then strips
your weapon, maybe offhand disarm if he felt
confident enough. (YES PARRY MATTERS TO A
CONJURER, TRUST ME) Kealiran, being a sword
spec elf, can hopefully keep the archon busy.
They aren't all-powerful, but they're tough.
A ranger has a good chance of tanking them
well in the wilderness. Ikemasuka has Homeboy
tangled up, weaponless (hopefully, eyejab/strip)
and getting monster-choppied. By the time the
entwine wears off, Ike can: start bashing (always
preferable, you *can* word out of entwine),
tripping, hell, lash if he feels REALLY cocky,
or perhaps entwine again before doing one of
the above. (Pull is awesome, especially when
there's something nifty about the room you
pull your victim into.) By this time, (3 ticks
or so), the Conjurer's protections will start to
drop. Shield, Aura, Stone Skin (if he's smart)
.... sanct will take a while, with a transplendant
communing it on you, or whatever it is they do.
Even so, Bam, conjurer pudding in the streets
of Tar Valon. Oh, and nightgaunting someone
when they're in a protected area, even if you're
NOT in a protected area, is against the law.
Quitcher cryin.
