In Reply to: Ok, that's all well and good but if he was at gushing that means he was really close to 50%, the point at which a gaunt carries you off, so you definitely should've been ready, but oh well. nt posted by Polemachus on August 14, 2000 at 16:48:32:

So they got there asses kicked and melted and fled. Meanwhile I was still playing with the Dracolich. When i was done I clauraudienced them and saw Jirgolo was in the underdark because he had a cavefisher ponco, and he was gushing. So I went to the entrance of the Maus, knowing three angry hell hounds were one south of me. To be honest it was a weak ass gaunt, and I've never expected it to bring him back, but if it did was going to try to make him flee into the awaiting hell hounds. When it dropped him off the moment I friggin bound it, it took me by suprise because even wounded Ragers with powers usually kick even a nice Gaunt's ass and I knew he was with Bahal. So he took off and I laughed my ass off, to be perfectly honest I'm not one of those people who are obsessed with being the perfect killing machine, as I'm sure many have seen. So to rehash it was a spur of the moment Gaunting, I really couldn't have given two shits if it wasn't a better spot or if I got him, it was for shit's and giggles, and yes I know where the better spots are.....
