There were other people there, and I wanted to make sure I got my mail back, and he could have as much as I could carry of his things. I did return everything except for the mail (gave him the torso I was wearing) and I sacrificed all his fillets. Just because I "get all corpse" doesn't mean I can't return things. In fact, he grabbed as much from my corpse as he could carry as well.
