Was always that being able to cast infravision 7000 times in a row proves nothing RP-wise. It's purely game mechanics. It really serves no purpose. I can list a dozen of some of the worst RPed chars who had all their spells perfected. So no, I don't bother mastering spells just for the sake of seeing a 100%.
