Ans: There was no sylvan there, that was the ranger Oblonaider. He set a snare that caught the mongoose. Goose wasnt able to move until Kaejof attacked him.

Ans: Paladin was probably called to the giant to help against the mongoose, since the giant was hurt already that probably wasnt Mongoose's first try.
The outer guardian isnt aggressive, it wont attack you if you are standing there.

Ans: Probably not, but the Mongoose was an imperial. Maran hate certain evil types more than others and will pick
them out. Scarab, necromancers, imperials, shamans, healers are on top of the list. Ragers are near the bottom
even the evil ones. So Laureolia went after the imperial first.
