The reason I thought Leika was "wrong" was because of Nibbechist's whining. Odd, I know. But it seemed to me that he had been preached to beforehand (from Leika) about "Honor" and such... and then was pissed that Leika broke that "honor." It's sorta like all those times we players ask someone "What are your intentions here?" and they go "Peaceful." then come and attack you. Wouldn't you yell and tell to them "Oh yeah, really honorable of you..." (if they're a choice amount of Spheres then this is A-OK... but you and I both know that this is not the case sometimes.)
That's the way I read the log... seemed like they had some history. I agree with you totally that Nibbechist whined and it wasn't barbaric-like...
Also I think that the Guard doesn't have the ability to wipe out maledictions because MOST of the time people will only have HELPFUL affects on them.
I don't know about you, but if I had... -40 stone skin, -20 armor, this that and the other thing.. I'd rather have 600hp with those affects then to have them gone with full 900hp...
