> Can you be more vague? I just don't get this. Honor is respect, position, integrity, renown, glory, distinction, accolade, praise. You don't get all this by stacking the deck in a duel.
I can be more direct. You're saying, in effect, "If I was playing an honorable character, and I thought there was ANY CHANCE that someone I thought about killing might be wounded, or maledicted, or afk, or underequipped, or sleepy, or any of that, I'd back off."
I think that's unrealistic. I don't think there's any way you would live up to that. That's why I offer you the chance to prove me wrong.
Personally, I wouldn't have even asked you for a duel first if it were me playing an honorable character. I'd already be taking a gigantic enough risk that the two Ragers with you wouldn't gang me with you.
Let me give you an analogy: there are players who genuinely believe that no Rager should ever use any piece of gear that is flagged as magic as it shows up via detect magic. Having played a Rager, you know how ridiculous this is. Even freaking earthen vests are magic. I'm saying you're doing basically the same thing.
On the other hand, there was a character who actually did that with respect to magic items, going to the pains of levelling naked until he could get into Battle just to make sure. That guy can make cracks at Ragers with earthen vests all day and I wouldn't say a thing.
> I suppose I should respond, but to what? I can give you alot of examples to break down each comment you have, six villagers ganging one mage, six dawn slaying an elf for gold,
> should we all just be ready for that? Okay, actually Nibbechist can buy that, I never said he trusted anyone and he is ready to die.
I've yet to play a mage (to take one of your examples) who wasn't ganged by Battle. Yes, even six or more and even in non-raid locations such as Galadon. In a perfect world this shouldn't happen, but sometimes it does until the Powers that Be can catch up with the offenders. If you're smart, you expect that kind of thing and you don't let the six find you unless you think you can take them.
But that's all a moot point because I don't think it's wrong for one honorable character to jump on one other character alone.
