Hey man... How's your current char? (if you have one)...
Anyway...
Your nerve information is incorrect... You can hit four different areas with nerve...
Forearm strike: -2dex
Kidneys strike: -2con
Knee strike: -2dex
Shoulder strike: -2str
I happen to think Assassins are REALLY powerful, if played correctly. If you can survive 4 rounds or so, that's all you need to turn the tide of the battle. kotegaeshi, kansetsuwaza... then after that, you're set. caltraps... and then whatever you want to do. I happen to think Assassins are the single most deadly one on one, because of their range of maledictions and such. Tiger claw, yeesh that's amazing. I remember one fight with Astillian, I kotegaeshi'd, kansetsuwaza'd and caltrapped... he was still hurtin' me bad and it turned out being an even fight. The next time I think I only kansetsuwaza'd and then tiger clawed the rest.. He fled and I was barely scratched. Assassins have a wide range of abilities, just gotta know when to use them. :) Blindness dust and poison smoke get really potent, too. I forget about axe kick (since it was awhile ago, and I never got passed mule kick with Zepachu... but it's somethin like -10 -10)... not sure.

> Caltraps deplets movement
> Nerve -3str or -3dex
> Strangle Sleeps them
> Assassinate Gee it takes no nuclear sci to figure this one out.
